Precise Marine Performance

VESSEL STABILISERS

Exclusively importing the range of DMS products AVN Worldwide Marine Services is your go to in the stabilisation market for motor yachts.

The award winning DMS Holland is headquartered in Kerkdriel, Netherlands, and operates independently with a small team of dedicated employees. The company focuses on innovation in the marine industry. DMS Holland, specializes in developing and producing advanced stabilization systems for motor yachts. The company offers a variety of stabilizers, including fin, rotor, and gyroscope-based systems, tailored to enhance vessel stability and comfort.

DMS Magnus Master

Suitable for vessels up to 30 metres the DMS Magnus Master is a cylinder which spins to generate lift and counteract vessel roll. The DMS Magnus Master requires very low power consumption and requires minimal internal space in the vessel making it the perfect option for retrofit. With optimal performance in the 4-12 knot range there is not another stabiliser product to match the DMS Magnus Master. At speeds above 12 knots, the Magnus effect no longer increases and therefore the DMS MagnusMaster automatically retracts. When retracted, the rotors remain largely within the turbulent boundary layer of the vessel, meaning resistance is negligible.

The Magnus Effect

It is a work of high-quality technology based on a universally acknowledged law of nature: the Magnus effect, that works in both liquid and air, was discovered and documented by Heinrich Magnus. DMS Holland has been able to optimise this effect by developing and applying advanced new techniques. Would you like to know more about the Magnus effect? Click here for further information.

DMS Holland has been able to optimise this effect by developing and applying advanced new techniques. To guarantee durability and continuity, the system uses electronic components from the well-known German brand Lenze, including electric motors, displays, drives and servo motors.

DMS Universal

It is often the control system for a yacht’s existing fin stabilisers that no longer works properly due to malfunction, age or because parts are no longer available.

If the fins themselves and the mechanical / hydraulic part still all work well, with years of potential operation still left in them, it is a shame to opt for a completely new and expensive roll damping system.

A more practical and efficient solution is to only replace the defective controller with a DMS Universal system. This is a state-of-the-art digital control system developed by DMS Holland that features the latest technology, such as a CAN bus system, a colour touch screen and an electronic multi-term controller equipped with ingenious stabilisation algorithms.

DMS Universal is durable, reliable and deliberately uses readily available industrial components should an unexpected service be required.

In addition to the soft zero speed capability, this also features a number of other special functions in the ‘Pro’ version.

DMS All in One

DMS Holland is adding the finishing touches to the innovative DMS All-in-One fin stabilisers. Due to launch at the world renowned METSTRADE in 2024 the DMS All-in-One is going to revolutionise the vessel stabilisation market.

DMS All-in-One is unique with nothing else on the market even coming close to its’ capabilities and versatility. It is currently being throughly tested by DMS Holland’s development department for performance, safety, user-friendliness, durability and quality. This innovation has been patented by DMS and the performance level makes the All-in-One a real game changer.

The three modes of operation in brief:

1. At zero speed, the fins make a flapping motion.

2. At cruising speed the fins rotate, just as with traditional fins, but the “high aspect” shape results in less resistance.

3. Stabilisation at high speed has been added. At higher speeds, the fins are fully folded behind the yacht’s transom. From here, the fins can trim the yacht as well as damping any rolling and swaying.

The fins can be easily retrofitted to the transom of the yacht making a positive contribution to the speed through trim while also reducing drag and fuel consumption.
